Abstract

Importation of living plants from other countries than those listed in the First Schedule requires a licence issued by the Commissioner of Agriculture of the Department of Agriculture (rule 3). Rules 5 to 10 outline how and where importation of plants can take place. No insects or eggs of insects may be imported without permission (rule 11). Rule 12 provides for the transit of plants, portions of plants or seeds. Other provisions deal with enforcement measures and fees. (15 rules and 2 Schedules)
