Abstract

These Regulations, made under section 12 of the Plant Protection Act, 1969, contain rules concerning fumigation of plants and materials in contact with plants for the purpose of destroying injurious organisms. The First Schedule lists essential and compulsory fumigation equipment. A person who requires a phytosanitary certificate in respect of fumigation shall give notice of the intention to fumigate to an inspector and the inspector shall be entitled to be present at any fumigation made pursuant to a notice and may give directions. Other provisions concern other control measures and the competence of fumigators. (completed by 4 Schedules)
