Abstract

This Order amends the Plant Health (Scotland) Order 2005 to transpose and implement certain EU legislation relating to, among other things: Swiss plant passports, measures in respect of certain fruits originating in certain third countries to prevent the introduction into and the spread within the Union of a specified harmful organism, inspection of imported fruits, measures to prevent the introduction into and the spread within the Union of Xylella fastidiosa, recognition of protected zones exposed to particular plant health risks in the Community, the movement of seeds.
