Abstract

These Regulations, made under section 41 of the Tropical Pesticides Research Institute Act, 1979: provide rules relative to the labelling, handling, sampling, testing and registration of pesticides; make provision in relation with the Pesticides Approval and Registration Technical Committee established under section 13 of the Act; prescribe importation procedures; and require manufacturers and formulators of pesticides within Tanzania to maintain or engage a quality control laboratory and registrants to make and maintain records of all quantities of a pesticide product manufactured, imported, stored, used or sold.
