Abstract These Regulations provide for the protection of active substances or combination of active substances of a plant protection product and processes for the production of such products which are covered by patents and which are placed on the market in Malta. Persons that have obtained a market authorization for such products may apply for a certificate to the Comptroller, who shall render such application public. The certificate has the effect of extending protection for a patent during the period specified in regulation 10.
