Abstract The Ordinance provides for obligation of the manufacturers and dealers who exhibit new passenger cars, provide sale or lease offers or advertise them, should give information on fuel consumption, CO 2 emissions and, if applicable, electricity consumption of the vehicles. According to the Ordinance, a notice is displayed at the point of sale in a clearly visible manner, showing the CO 2 efficiency classes, the official fuel consumption values, the official specific CO 2 emissions and, where applicable, the official electricity consumption of all models of new passenger cars exhibited at or through the point of sale. Manufacturers and dealers who create advertising material must ensure that the advertising material contains information on the official fuel consumption and the official specific CO 2 emissions of the relevant models of new passenger cars. The Ordinance consists of 9 Articles referring to issues of labelling obligation, information on fuel consumption, CO 2 emissions and power consumption, CO 2 efficiency classes, guide to fuel consumption, advertising and misuse of designations.
