The conditions for Organic Food Products clearance dealt with in the Regulations concern (i) documents and certificates, in particular Organic Certificate and Transaction Certificate; (ii) product requirements, such as not be prohibited for import, be registered with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority for food imports, comply with approved technical regulations, the ingredients must not contain prohibited mixtures of organic and inorganic substances, not be exposed to ionizing rays or unauthorized substances during processing; (iii) labeling information; (iv) storage and transportation, in particular the procedures for separating organic and inorganic products; (v) sampling.
