Abstract

In accordance with the legislative framework laid down by European Union Council Regulation (EEC) No. 2092/91, these Regulations establish measures to be taken to control the organic production of agricultural products and indications referring thereto on agricultural products and foodstuffs. The Agricultural Services and Rural Development Division within he Ministry of Agriculture shall be the inspection authority responsible for the operation of the inspection system, as well as the authority responsible for the approval and supervision of inspection bodies. Regulation 5 sets out additional labelling ts to be met by organic products.
