The present Ordinance enters into force on 1 October 1997.
Abstract

The present Ordinance implements the Introductory Law implementing the Federal Act on the protection of waters (Cantonal Water Protection Law) of 8 June 1997. Article 1 establishes that the Education, Culture and Environment Office is responsible for the enforcement of the relevant federal legislation. The text consists of 18 articles divided into 5 Parts as follows: Competence of the Canton (I); Transfer of powers to the municipality (II); Legal protection of water permits (III); Reporting (IV); Final provisions (V).
