Abstract

The present Ordinance enforces the Council Directive 1999/32/EC relating to a reduction in the sulphur content of certain liquid fuels. The purpose of the Ordinance is to reduce air pollution caused by use of marine fuels containing sulphur. The text consists of 6 articles as follows: Purpose (1); Sphere of application (2); Maximum sulphur content of marine fuels (3); Monitoring, competence (4); Penalties (5); Entry into force (6).
