Abstract

The present Ordinance implements the Directive 2000/76/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the incineration of waste. In particular, the Ordinance deals with the discharge of waste water resulting from such incineration. Waste water from the cleaning of exhaust gases discharged from an incineration or co-incineration plant shall be subject to a permit granted by the competent authorities. The text deals with the following matters: purpose, sphere of application, control and monitoring, measurement requirements, duty to report, information of the public, penalties and transitional provisions.
