Abstract

The present Ordinance implements the Plant Protection Act in its version of 14 May 1998 (BGBl. I p. 971, 1527, 3512). The Ordinance lays down provisions on emergency measures to prevent the spread of corn rootworm. In areas where maize is grown, each year an official survey shall be conducted to detect this disease. When the results of those surveys confirm the presence of the organism in an area which was previously known to be free from the organism, demarcated zones shall be defined. The text consists of 10 articles.
