The present Ordinance repeals the Ordinance on the same subject (BGBl. No. 58/1995)
Abstract

The present Ordinance by the Federal Minister for Agriculture and Forestry, Environment and Water Resources implements various EC directives as listed in article 1. Article 2 establishes that poultry meat may be put on the market only if duly packed. Thereafter the text deals with issues such as regulations for slaughterhouses, examination of water contents, laboratory fees, and penalties. The text consists of 10 articles.
