Abstract

The purpose of the present Ordinance is to implement Directive 2003/99/EC of 17 Novem er 2003 on the monitoring of zoonoses and zoonotic agents. They provide for appointment and powers of authorised officers, designation of national reference laboratories, approval of laboratories, etc. The said Ordinance also provides for a monitoring plan, the authorisation of officers to investigate outbreaks of illness and for the approval of laboratories to conduct tests. The text consists of 6 articles.
