Abstract The present Ordinance implements the Introductory Law implementing the federal environmental legislation of 19 April 2011. Article 1 of the Ordinance establishes that the Environment and Energy Office is the competent authority in the Canton St. Gallen to enforce federal environment legislation. The text consists of 31 articles divided into 6 Parts as follows: Competences (I); Protection against threats (II); Environmental impact assessment (III); Measures for unusually high air pollution (IV); Waste disposal (V); Final provisions (VI).
