The present Ordinance enters into force on 1 January 1996.

The present Ordinance implements, inter alia, the Federal Act on foodstuff and objects of daily use of 9 October 1992. The text consists of 16 articles divided into 4 Parts as follows: Sphere of application (A); Survey and organization (B); Legal protection (D); Transitional and final provisions (E).
