The present Ordinance enters into force retroactively on 1 July 2001.
Abstract

The present Ordinance implements various federal regulations on the protection of the environment, in particular the Cantonal Ordinance implementing the Federal Law on protection of the environment of 24 May 2000. The text consists of 77 articles divided into 12 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Air (II); Noise (III); Harmful substances in soil (IV); Environmental impact assessment (V); Protection from catastrophes (VI); Waste, special waste and electric and electronic devices (VII); Charges affecting industrial locations (VIII); Biotechnology (IX); Radiation (X); Sound and laser (XI); Final provisions (XII).One Annex is enclosed.
