Abstract

The present Ordinance implements Annexes II, III and V of the Directive 2000/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a framework for Community action in the field of water policy. The Ordinance applies to the: 1) description and categorization of waters; 2) assessment of pollution and its effect on waters; 3) monitoring of the ecological state of waters; 4) classification and assessment of the ecological state of waters; 5) economical analysis of the use of waters. The text consists of 15 articles divided into3 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Surface waters (2); Groundwater (3). Thirteen Annexes are enclosed.
