Abstract

The present Ordinance implements the Styria Plant Protection Law (LGB. No. 82/2002). The Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the campaign against potato ring rot whereby the competent local authority carries out a number of controls. Moreover, whoever suspects the existence of potato rot must report it at once to the competent local authority. Article 5 specifies the measures to be adopted in case of suspected potato rot. The text, consisting of 15 articles, deals, inter alia, with the following aspects: sphere of application, inspection by competent authorities, duty to report, requirements for potatoes, reporting, entry into force and repeal.
