No. 127). The objectives of the Ordinance are the: a) protection of groundwater against hazardous chemical or biological substances and parsimonious use thereof; b) securing an adequate water supply for residential population, industry, artisans and agriculture; c) protection of surface water against pollution, and improvement of polluted waters; d) conservation and rehabilitation of the ecological function of water; e) protection of people and their living space against flooding; f) utilization of water resources for energy production.
