Abstract The Ordinance applies to organic solvents (containing carbon, hydrogen, halogen, oxygen, sulfur, phosphorus, silicon and nitrogen) and sets regulations on their use, control and planning with the goal of reducing emissions. The Ordinance implements EU regulations with regard to the registration, authorization and restriction of chemical substances contained in solvents. The provisions of this Ordinance set a limit of values for emission point sources of gas with temperature of 273.15 kelvin and pressure of 101.3 kilopascals (Chapter 20). For what concerns the extraction of vegetable oils, animal fats and vegetable oil refining, the document applies to establishments where solvent consumption is more than 10 tons yearly. The Environmental Protection Agency shall be the regulatory authority providing information on any activity regarding emission requirements and standards.
