Abstract This Order prescribes the manner for implementation of international standard for sampling methods of consignments (no. 31). In the procedure of sampling of shipments, the international standard for methods of sampling of shipments no. 31 is given in the Annex of this text. This standard prescribes the guidelines of the National Plant Protection Organizations for the selection of appropriate sampling methods for inspection or testing of consignments to verify compliance with phytosanitary conditions. This standard does not prescribe guidelines for sampling at the point of production as required in surveillance procedures.
