Abstract

This Order determines the method for implementation of the international standard for determining conditions for determining areas free from plant pests/harmful organisms (no. 4-given in Annex of this text). This standard prescribes the conditions for determining areas free of harmful organisms and their application as a way to manage the risk of harmful organisms for phytosanitary certification of plants, plant products and other regulated products exported from the area free of harmful organisms. Also, the standard provides scientific support for the phytosanitary measures taken by the importing country, in order to protect the threatened area that is free from harmful organisms.
