Abstract The Order specifically aims to preventing and controlling pollution of air, water, soil and subsoil, and noise; it provides hygienic rules concerning environment and people; limits the use and waste of raw materials and other resources; promotes the use of cleaner technology and promotes recycling procedures reducing issues related with waste management. In order to fulfill these goals, organizations may voluntarily register with the Eco-management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) through the national Environmental Protection Agency.
