Abstract The present Order, adopted by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration, applies to mandatory health counseling in mink farms. The person responsible for the farm shall enter into an agreement on mandatory health counseling if the number of minks registered in the farm as of July 1 is equal to or greater than: 20 adult females, or 100 kits. When the first counseling visit is conducted under this Order, the veterinarian shall instruct the person responsible for the farm on the following topics: Infection protection; Cage arrangement; Records of deceased minks and medicine usage, and; Proper handling of sick and injured minks.
