Abstract The Order lays down rules on protection zones in fishing salt-waters whereby fishing is not permitted in a conservation belt comprising an area within 500 meters of distance from rivers, streams and inland estuaries, fiords and inland waters when the estuary reaches a width of minimum 2 meters. Fishing is not permitted in artificial fish passages nor in waters within 50 meters distance from a fish passage outlet or inlet. The Fisheries Directorate may allow that equipment tools continue to be used for commercial-fishing to a maximum of 25 years.
