Abstract The present Order, adopted by the the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, applies to the marketing of propagation material for ornamental plants within the European Union. In terms of the production of whole plants, the order only covers plants intended for further trade. According to Article 3, the following businesses shall be registered as suppliers: 1. Businesses that produce propagation material for ornamental plants for the purpose of sale; and 2. Businesses dedicated to the wholesale of propagation material for ornamental plants for commercial resale or use. Registered suppliers shall comply with the provisions of this Order. Article 7 regulates the requirements for selling varieties of genera and species of propagation material for ornamental plants.
