Abstract This Regulation lays down the functions and competences of the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration. The Veterinary and Food Administration is part of the Ministry of Environment and Food, and has as primary function to implement the Ministry's policies on food and veterinary, including animal health, feed, and wildlife. It prepares bills and lays down administrative regulations, guidance, plans and programmes, and decides on individual cases in accordance with national rules and EU legislations in its areas of competency. The Agency is headed by a Director, deputy directors, and a veterinary director. The Regulation also lays down rules for filing complaints against the Agency's decisions.
