Abstract This Order regulates waste management regime for materials and packaging containing asbestos, including transportation and management of the respective construction and demolition waste, with a view to protecting the environment and human health. This regime is applicable to the following activities involving handling of materials containing asbestos and the respective management of construction and demolition waste containing asbestos. It specifies requirements to be satisfied for: demolition of buildings where there is asbestos or materials containing asbestos; distruction of buildings where there is asbestos or materials containing asbestos; removal of asbestos or materials containing asbestos in installations, structures and buildings; in transportation, treatment and disposal; the disposal of waste in authorized areas.
