This Order enters into force on the day after its publication.
Abstract

The Order, consisting of 5 articles and 1 Annex, approves the Development Plan for the longline fleet and creates the Portuguese Fisheries Committee to manage and optimize National quota exploitation. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of this Committee aiming at: a) developing and implementing objectives and measures to manage fishing activity within the Territorial Sea and EEZ of Portugal; b) Annually assessing, the adequacy of such measures and proposing new management and follow-up measures. Annex specifies the Regulation for the Support Regime to definitive stop of licensed superficial longline fishing vessels involved in sward fish quota to be caught within the Atlantic Ocean beyond North 5°N.
