Abstract The present Order lays down rules on the artificial Insemination of fur animals. The semen used for artificial insemination on fur animals shall either come from animals that are housed at a fur animal station at the time of semen collection, as stated in Article 2, or be imported in accordance with the current regulations for the import of semen from domestic animals. A fur animal station is defined as a facility where fur animals are kept, and their semen is artificially transferred to other fur animals and shall have the approval of the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration before it is put into operation.
