Abstract

The President of the Federal Fisheries Committee, in accordance with the Ministry of Natural Resources, orders to validate the Regulation. The Central Department for Fisheries' Expertise and Standards Regarding Conservation and Reproduction of the Stock of Fish (TSUREN) of the Fish-farming Department (ROSRYBVOD) must be considered the leading organization in the system of the Federal Fisheries Committee as regards acclimatisation and stock enhancement in the reservoirs of the Russian Federation. Acclimatisation of fish, other aquatic biodiversity and stock enhancement are the constituent parts of the complex measures aimed at the reproduction of the stock of fish and other aquatic resources in the natural and artificial reservoirs. The tasks of acclimatisation and stock enhancement is the increase of productivity and economic importance of the reservoirs through the selective formation of ecosystems. In this connection in the process of realisation of acclimatisation must be taken into consideration the types and the reception capacity of the reservoirs. Acclimatisation of aquatic biodiversity is a biological and biotechnological process that represents release of fish species originating from some reservoirs, regions, countries in the other localities where they were previously lacking or have disappeared, for the purpose of their total or partial naturalisation and other forms of economic use (sport fishing, pond nursery, biological melioration). Acclimatisation must be carried out in accordance with two methods : full cycle and gradual.
