Abstract

The Order sets regulations on protection and hunting of polar bears (Ursus maritimus) in Greenland terrestrial and fishing territory where it is protected. There are special provisions for access to the National Park in North and East Greenland and Nature Reserve in Melville Bay, including provisions for the catch of in these areas. The government though sets an annual quota for polar bear hunting in adherence to international agreements and biological advice and is subject to hunting license re
