Abstract This Order aims to ensure that municipal planning contributes to the prevention of pollution in current and future groundwater resources in areas with special drinking water interests, and in areas of abstraction for public water supplies elsewhere. The order sets regulations in adherence to the Planning Act. The Municipality must exempt the mentioned areas from businesses or installations entailing significant risk of groundwater contamination. The Municipality will also ensure limited drilling in the proximity of protected water supply areas designated to land use. The ban does NOT apply to areas already zoned in the municipal plan.
