Abstract The regulations set by this Order aim to reduce contamination of soil, groundwater and surface water as a result of plant protection products’ sprayers cleaning maintenance (filling and washing), tractors and other equipment used commercially for the application of plant protection. The Order provides for the arrangement and layout of cleaning areas and collection containers, appeals on existence and use of equipment for filling and cleaning of application equipment and requirements for the handling of plant protection products. Residues of plant protection products should be disposed of in accordance with Executive 118457 Order on waste as defined. However residues of plant protection products approved for outdoor use, may be spread on agricultural land under the provisions of articles 14-15 if the residues should not be classified as hazardous waste.
