Exemptions granted pursuant to Order No. 591 of 9 July 1993 on the breeding of cervids remain valid on the announced terms. Abstract This Order applies to the breeding of deer in captivity. Fences must first be approved and then notified to the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration. Application from the owner fully or partially exempt from the provisions of this Order if conditions of Appendix 1 are fulfilled. Transport of cervids should be in accordance with the requirements of Appendix 4. Import of red deer, including semen and embryos of strains genetically different from the Danish strain, is prohibited. Keeping of cervids in stables is prohibited.
