Abstract

This Order here approves the Regulation for setting reference points for action on pharmacologically active substances not allowed in foods of animal origin (which text is part of this publication), in the context of implementation of the National Waste Monitoring Plan. The above cited Regulation defines: a) rules for establishing reference points for action on waste substances that are pharmacologically active, for which the maximum residue limit has not been determined; b) methodological principles and scientific methods for assessing the security risk of reference points for action; c) reference points for action on residues from certain pharmacologically active substances, for which maximum waste limit is not known; d) specific rules for actions that shall be taken in case of the presence of confirmed residues of a prohibited or illegal substance at levels above, or equal to reference points that need action.
