Abstract The Order applies to motor vehicles and waste from motor vehicles, including their components and materials, in particular to waste management with regard to any activity taking place after the use of vehicles which are de-assembled with the purpose of dismantling, shearing, shredding, recovering or preparing for disposal, and finally recycling in adherence to EU pollution-prevention regulations. Separating wrecks of vehicles shall ensure that minimum 10% of the materials and components thereof are recycled per calendar year. For commercial treatment of these wrecks must ensure that the amount of recyclable materials and components procured is equivalent to a minimum of 80% of the treated vehicles’ weight each year and that at least 85% of this weight is recovered for recycling and incineration for energy production. However, with effect from 1 January 2015, commercial separation treatment of vehicle wrecks, in addition to the regulations of this Order, shall ensure that recycled materials and components shall be equivalent to least 15% of the treated vehicles’ weight calculated for calendar year. All de-assembling shall be notified within 6 months with due information of the components and materials’ substances (Appendix 1).
