Abstract

The Order's purpose is to set regulations on granting subsidies for the costs (min. 300 000 DKK) of establishing and promoting sustainable housing/stables for animal welfare. These investments shall serve as a commitment for funding projects aiming to convert conventional farrowing buildings. The approved subsidies shall be granted to farmers operating primary agricultural activities. Allowance for investments in new green processes and technologies in agricultural production is part of the goal's incentives. The Order is administered and regulated by the Danish AgriFish Agency. Application for 2013 grants shall be submitted from 16 September 2013 and received by the Agency no later than 15 October. Subsidies shall be granted to projects completed by and no later than 1 August 2015.
