The number of licences and their validity is determined by the quotas and vessels’ fishing capacity. Suspension of fishing activities shall be notified by local authorities via radio and press. By-catch regulations apply to vessels when they have access to cod- and halibut-fishing in the Western and Eastern Greenland waters (specified in Annex 1); when TAC ceiling for cod is reached.
