Abstract

These Regulations set out the framework on nuclear safety. They are adopted pursuant to Council Directive 2009/71/EURATOM establishing a Community framework for the nuclear safety of nuclear installations and the Convention on nuclear Safety. The objective of these provisions is to support the European Union and international efforts to achieve and maintain a high safety of worldwide through national measures and international cooperation.
