Abstract

In exercise of powers conferred by sub-clause (a)(xi) of section 2 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955, the Central Government hereby declares the seeds of foods crops, fruits, vegetables, of cattle fodder, and jute used for sowing and planting (including seedlings and tubers, bulbs, rhizomes, roots, cuttings, and all types of grafts and other vegetatively propagated material, or food crops or cattle fodder) to be essential commodities.
