Abstract This Notification defines characteristics, conditions and maximum residue limits of extraction solvents used in production of foodstuffs and food ingredients. The Notification also covers rules and procedures of packaging and labelling of the extraction solvents. Sampling and analysis of the extraction solvents defined in this Notification will be done according to the Turkish Food Codex Regulation. This Notification is prepared in accordance with European Parliament and Council Directive No. 2009/32/EC on the approximation of the laws of the Member States on extraction solvents used in the production of foodstuffs and food ingredients.
