Abstract

These Regulations set out rules relative to the control of noise as provided for in section 25 of the Environment Conservation Act, 1989. The Regulations, among other things: define powers of local authorities to control noise; define general prohibitions in relation with activities that produce noise; define and prohibit noise nuisance; and concern the use of noise measuring instruments.
