For the purpose of ensuring its revisions, this Regulation expires on 30 June 2018.
Abstract

The present Regulation is made under the Mines and Minerals Act (RSA 2000, c. M-17). The Regulation lays down provisions relating to exploration of new oil wells, gas wells or non-project oil sands wells. The text – consisting of 15 sections – deals, amongst others, with the following aspects: definitions, application of Regulation, new well, eligible production, excluded production, factors affecting entitlement, effect of revocation, reinstatement of royal reduction, reporting circumstances affecting eligibility, new wells that are exploratory wells, expiry and coming into force.
