Abstract

The prescribed area, for the purposes of Division 14 of Part IV of the Navigation Act 1912, is the area of sea (including the territorial sea) around Australia that is included in the area specified in the Schedule. These Regulations make provision with respect to notification of specified information by sea-going vessels in the prescribed area. The information includes the sailing plan notified for the purposes of subsections 269F (1) and (5) of the Act. Article 6 provides for position reports.
