The Natural Resources Agreement, dated 5 March 1938, was agreed between the Government of the Dominion of Canada and the Government of the Province of Manitoba. It amends the Natural Resources Transfer Agreement of 14 December 1929, which had provided for the transfer of the Crown interest in lands, mines and minerals (precious and base) and royalties derived therefrom, and all sums due or payable, to the Province. The amendment specifies that the Natural Resources Transfer Agreement should be read to include the transfer of interest of the Crown in the waters and water powers within the Province under the Irrigation Act, and the Dominion Water Power Act to the Province of Manitoba.
