The objectives of this National Sea Cucumber Fishery Management and Development Plan are the conservation and sustainable management of sea cucumber resources, maximizing of its potential economic yield, access to the resources, allocation of processing right and exports licenses, and protection and sustainability of the environment. The strategies of this Plan shall apply to all species of sea cucumber and all activities including commercial fishing, artisanal fishing, subsistence fishing and marine scientific research fishing.
