Abstract

These Regulations, made on the recommendation of the National Heritage Council, implement provisions of the National Heritage Act in respect of, among other things: (change in) status of protected places and registration of such places; application, under section 48(1) of the Act, for a permit to carry out works or activities; provisional protection orders; the form of permit referred to in section 52(1) of the Act; application for consent, in terms of section 53(7) of the Act (listed buildings); the form of consent; appeals to the Minister as contemplated in section 61(1) of the Act; and appeals to the Council as contemplated in the same section.
