Abstract This Act makes amendments in the Principal Act regarding the integrated water resources and sanitation management. This Act adds a new Section for the coordination of the monitoring and implementation of the National Water and Sanitation Policy and its Action Plan by the Authority. The monitoring and implementation of the policy includes, but not limited to, conducting water and sanitation sector assessments; establishing and managing a water and sanitation database; developing awareness programs on water and sanitation issues; monitoring drought status level; and overseeing licensing and use of groundwater resources.
